Missouri ACC Foundation

2023 Research Grant Call for Letters of Intent Now Open:

We are pleased to announce cardiovascular research funding opportunities through the Missouri Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. Up to 5 proposals with budgets up to $10,000 each will be funded for two years beginning July 1, 2023. A broad range of proposals pertaining to cardiovascular care including basic, translational, clinical, outcomes and effectiveness research will be considered.

This year we are excited about the MO-ACC Chapter’s partnership with the Young Scientist Program (YSP). This program will offer bright young talented high school students from the Saint Louis Public School System the opportunity to work with Early Career faculty during an 8-week long internship during the summer of 2024. Funding for these students will be provided by the MO-ACC (as a supplement to the $10K funding proposal). Please note that priority will be given to proposals that include support for one high school student through this program

At this time, we are requesting a one-page letter of intent delineating the hypothesis and justification of the importance of the proposed research. Early career cardiologists (those in the first 7 years after fellowship) and Cardiovascular Care Team members are particularly encouraged to apply. Please note, this Research Grant Program is not open to Fellows in Training.

Deadline for submission of letter of intent is March 22, 2023 by COB.

Please submit your letter of intent along with your complete contact information, to the ACC Missouri Chapter at moacc@qabs.com.

Please contact our Chapter Executive, Beth Quick-Andrews, CAE at moacc@qabs.com if you have any questions.
