Health care in the 21st century is coming to embrace advanced technologies in an effort to shift toward more individualized, patient centered and value based approaches that will focus on quality improvement and outcomes measurements. Consequently, it is essential that cardiovascular clinicians not only understand disease and wellness states, but be able to competently and appropriately implement new diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.
